Strategy

Well, when I first saw Hopping Mad (V), I thought it would be great fun to put together a deck that was tailored around it. After some thinking, knowing that I needed to get 3po out first turn, Profit seemed to be the best decktype to build this deck around.

Ok, on your first turn you want to use Insurrection to get a DB out. While in there, make sure C-3PO (V) is in there. If he is, use Seeking to get him out to T:JP. You can fire off Rycar (V) to get out Hopping Mad, as well as some other effects like Lightsaber Prof. DDTA can get you out A Gift if you think it will hurt the opponent. If so, move 3p0 to the AC and get it into effect.

In any case, you eventual goal is to get 3p0 to the AC so you can use How Did We Get Into This Mess with impunity. You can pull a few other cards, including Savrip, Thank the Maker (for retrieval) and We’re Doomed (to prolong the endgame). The opponent will likely grab HDW, but you have a variety of interrupts to play that will annoy them later on.

You basically will be using Seeking to get out characters who will help you rescue Han/launching beats against the opponent. HDW is extremely fun to use so you can get out non-Seeking viable characters and then use Seeking to get those you need. As such, it is pretty easy to get some good character combos into play.

Flip when it makes sense to (you will likely have to pay for the retrieval) and bring the fight to the opponent. There are no Houjixes since Savrip is such an early presence. With Seeking you can get enough cards to Savrip away any damage.

Space is decent enough for a Profit, especially with Artoo BLD. You can cancel 2 battle destinies with a full space package, and use characters/Savrip to keep your “fleet” intact.

Anyway, have fun with 3p0 and the rest of your crew. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
