First off, thanks to Darth Hoth and his "Trooper Uprising" series of decks. I had always wanted to make a LS trooper deck, and with LU (V), I had the objective to base it upon.
Pull Gen Rieekan with Strike Planning. You can pull many cards with him, but I'd initally pull Rogue 1. Pull a location with the objective and deploy any EBTs to the MPG if you have them. Use EBG to pull Cmdr Luke, sit him at your battleground.
Next turn, you can pull another location with objective, a speeder with Luke, a card with Rieekan etc. You should be able to flip.
You'll next want to prepare to lower the shield with Lock. Send luke to the 4th marker. Maximize direct damage with the speeders. Get out Bacta Tank. You can either dig up the t47 Battle Form with Rieekan, Luke or Objective. With retrieval from Frostbite, even though you are only packing one, you should be able to get two uses out of it.
If the opponent invades, break out the artillery weapons and send in the troopers. You should have enough firepower to break them, but if they are being sneaky with undercover spies or the like, Artillery Remote is there to destroy people during your control phase.
You should be fine if the opponent avoids you. Your obj protects you very much, and you can pull off Menace Fades easily. Entrechment is there to cancel big drains with your EBTs and EBTOs.
In space, you want to set up Haven and get some of your minor fleet there ASAP so you can secure Frostbite. With HCF and Haven, you have the potential of drawing 5 destiny (2 Life Debt, 2 HCF, 1 Haven). Tantive is included to break into non-BGs.
There is tons to set up, based on your opening draw. Between Luke, Mon, Rieekan, and the Obj you can get almost anything you want. Don't draw up too much! I'll try to list the possibilities below.
EBG- gets out Luke and protects him. Also gets out the handy Bacta Tank.
Fish- Destiny is kinda low, this should help matters, especially since you can pull so much.
Artillery Weapons- pulled by Rieekan, these are powered and are forfeit +2. Superficial damage lets them go to the used pile (they must be AT the site where the battle is, no merely fire into it) for anywhere from 3-5 forfeit! Best part is that the good General can pull them out over and over again. I include 2 Golans since they target both vehicles and characters.
Riekkan pulls: Haven, EBT, EBTO, Frostbite, Rogue 1, Artillery Weapons, Sergeant Hollis and T 47 Battle Form
Mon pulls your EBT and EBTO, as well as gives them greater forfeit.
Hollis adds a battle destiny.
2-1B, Bacta Tank, Echo Med Lab all work together to make my forces last longer. Should I forget Med Lab since I can pull 2-1B? If so, I'll add in another Barrier.
Deneb Both is pretty cool. He makes the opponent lose Force drain damage from Force Pile, if able to. This means that you can make it so the opponent never is able to stockpile for a counterattack. The Jedi are to be used with Jedi Presence to beef up the EBTs. Lando is just a solid ground battler.
I chose to use Rebel Speeders since they have greater destiny and they are cheaper. If there is a great uproar I will swap them for Snowspeeders.
Rebel Artillery is to add to the hurt with drains, as well as to stack on the fish. SWM adds a battle destiny where you fire a weapon.
I think that's it! Thanks for reading, and hopefully reviewing!
EDIT Hoth, thanks for the short but sweet review!
Icy, thank you very much for the review! That is easily the best compliment I have got on this site. Good luck to you in states, whatever you decide to do!
Cam, thanks for the review. Check out the second line of GT on it: "Also, your forfeited weapons go to Used Pile." You are right- the more often used GT is not used. AT ATs are thought of as not a real problem, actually. I'd basically send Commie Luke to deal with them (hopefully with a 7 on the fish). I should be able to take out a part of an IO (V) force.
Wraith, thanks for the review! Yeah, after designing and posting I realized that I needed another unique speeder to get the most of Frostbite. In my physical deck I subbed in Wedge RSL and his speeder, so thanks to you I updated the deck. Menace Fades is an optional start... with some decks I'd start it, but Superficial Dmg is there since it goes more with the artillery theme.
