Introduction
This deck aims to win via reactive beats achieved through adding to multiple destiny draws. It's mathemagical!
Decklist
Starts 'Fear is My Ally +10' (ten shields); none are named.
Notes
- Original-era (V): Security Precautions (V) (Virtual Set 4); Mist Hunter (V) (Virtual Set 5); Jabba's Influence (V), Ability, Ability, Ability (V), Imperial Decree (V) (Virtual Set 6). The draft had dropped the (V) on Security Precautions and Imperial Decree.
- Posted 'Bib Fortuna (Ref3)' is the Reflections III Bib Fortuna (same title as the Jabba's Palace card).
- Myo x4 is the representative (posted '-REP'). Emperor Palpatine x2 and Darth Vader x2 are dested as posted.
Strategy
I wanted to set this up as a DS Mains platform, but then I got carried away w/ the flipside of the objective. Addition is a major part in making marginal destinies impressive.
The start is customizable. YCHF (non combo, so I won't get held up by DDTA) gets you Combat Response (vs space) or S&D; (when you want to encourage deployment). You can also start First Strike, Decree (V) or even TPM.
Pull your JP sites. I recommend holding off on deploying to the AC until you have some evasion or enough Force to drop a sizable Force down there. You don't want to lose Jabba or Bib for the flipside. If you are feeling choked, you can ditch YCHF for Sec Pre (V), and sit it at the AC.
Focus on holding down a second site w/ Palpy or Sidious, though others can do the job as well. Janus is there to add to drains and cycle through your deck. From there you are ready to flip by using Influence (V) to get out your non-unique Abby. This effect can also out 10 of your characters, including Bib.
Now that you are flipped, make sure you get out the aforementioned Bib and ditch YCHF for S&D.; All your battle destinies are plus 2. The ultimate combo is to use After Her! and then send Vader to clear the site, possibly w/ IHYN. However many destinies you get, in that scenario they would be +4 each.
Of course, if your opponent is more proactive, feel free to take the battle to them earlier. Even preflip, After Her and Vader give you a potent +2 to each battle destiny. You have 4 Myos that will last a long time, so use them to their fullest by sticking them in harm's way or canceling drains or canceling battle destinies. Don't forget to retrieve once your clear out places w/ After Her, and bring those Vaders back to hand w/ AAA (V).
Space is limited, but designed for battle destiny overload. Baron shoots and adds 1, and you can load up the Mist Hunter w/ 4 Lom, Vader, and BFBH to get 4 more draws.
CARD CHOICES
Abby Combo- is destiny 5 once you flip. I don't run enough Abbys to get any use of the retrieval text, but pulling them is handy, I must admit.
YAB- For Maul and Unc. Fury protection since I'm not using Lord Vader.
R3 Bib- I prefer his added power as a deterrent, but if you want another leader (remember, Myo is a leader) you can use the JP version. I'd prefer to save Myos for in case the LS comes to the AC.
Thanks for reading!
EDIT
CR is my choice to get out my fleet. I could probably get away w/ not running it and using SRF combo x2. I'll think about it, but w/ HB so big now I like the constant of the effect. All the evasion is for holding two JP sites, usually the AC and the LP. I'm fine w/ using SLeader to get rid of everyone... I consider it evasion. Everywhere else I usually deploy when I want to battle, so I don't have to worry about it too much. I thought about her stick, but couldn't find room. I figured that as a pullable spy she is good to launch the beat.
EDIT 2
Good point about needing more space. I've made some changes to this since posting it here to help vs HB. I've added Black 2 (V) and DS-61-2, who will hurt vs HB standard or swarm... I added in Dark Manuevers to help my fighters dodge pesky X wing Guns.
