A SYCFA flip deck. Edited after a discussion with Shewski. Thanks! Maybe I can get another review from someone else, though.
The published list has 59 cards.
Decklist
Strategy
So this is a SYCFA flipping deck. It looks a lot like a classic deck because I don't have the Episode 1 cards to boost it. It has Imperial Domination because I don't have EPP (or any, for that matter) Maul
First priority is getting the superlaser out so you can move the death star. If you get Emergency Deployment or the Superlaser itself in your starting hand, more power to you. Once you have the Superlaser, pull the War Room to boost generation, and start moving the Death Star into position to blow away Alderaan. Once there try to blow away Alderaan. The way my luck is, I alway seem to draw a Star destroyer for destiny, so try to get enough adders to blow it away with a Star Destroyer. Remember, they are destiny +1 from Oppressive Enforcement, and +1 from the Shield Generators if you get one of those out that early. After you flip, retrieve with the Star Destroyers, and use the drain bonuses to do damage. FWKTIL(V) is in there for some extra hurt. (especially when they cancel the drain bonuses) Pull the systems with the Objective.
In the case that they come to the Death Star, fight them off the best you can. I tend to end up with attacks consisting of Tarkin(V) who rules on the Death Star and lots of pilots, sometimes even the gunners too.
Card choices: TIEs and guns: MBO paranoia
Death Star Assault Squadron: Holdover from earlier. I should probably replace it with a Vader. I need advice about which one. (unfortunately I don't have the Premiere or Special Edition ones)
Kashyyyk: I want to replace it with Naboo (which I unfortunately don't have)
Corulag: If I ever get Chiraneau, (went through 2 boxes of DSII and never got one) I need a system of parsec 3 or 4 for him to sit at. (has to be parsec 4 until I have Naboo) I'm open for suggestions. As it is, this one powers up the Gunners a bit.
Suggestions for improving this deck are welcomed (even begged). Unfortunately I don't have very much Reflections III. (working on remedying that)
Edit: Shewski: Thanks for the review. I bet you meant to give me a 2, right? Anyway, I'll work on getting those cards you suggested. (2 boxes of DSII and no Palpy, no Merrejk, no a bunch of other stuff, and yet I was getting doubles of some of the rares. How many boxes of that set do you need to get anyway?) I don't have Emperor Palpatine, or else I'd have already put him in here. How about Fondor in place of Corulag since you suggested Flagship(V)? Also, do you think it would be better with AMSD(V), since you suggested I use V5 cards to get the SDs out? Reply in the feedback thread. I might edit it here with more discussion on it.
EDIT2: Edited the deck. I didn't repost it because it's only gotten one rating, and because it's still near the top. I reshuffled a lot of stuff: --Gravity Shadow became Something Special Planned for Them. --I took out the TIEs and their Guns. --The Imperial Commands became another Effect puller and Flagship(V). --I added one The Empire's Back to help get Tarkin(V) out faster, and it also gets Motti and Vader --I added another Put all Sections on Alert to help in defending the Death Star. (There's still a gaping hole in defenses as far as characters like Qui-Gon who have immunity to attrition and whose text can't be cancelled.) --I added Fondor since it can be pulled by Flagship(V) -- I adde Lord Vader since he can be pulled by Flagship(V) to help with defense on the ground. Tell me what you think of it now. Is it better?
