The Retro Online Championship Series (ROCS) is the year-end playoff on GEMP that decides the Retro League champion, first held in 2024. In 2022 and 2023 the champion was the leader in cumulative standings.[1]

Format

  • The top 8 in the season's cumulative standings are invited, and declined invitations pass down the standings. Cumulative points are 3 per win and 1 per loss.[2]
  • Play is single elimination: quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. A player seeded 1–4 is randomly paired with a player seeded 5–8 once decklists are locked.[3]
  • Each match is two games, one per side. The better net differential advances, with lost pile and then hand size as tiebreakers. The higher seed chooses which side to play first.[3]
  • Decks may not change during the series.[3]
  • Qualifiers vote on the format with weighted votes: 8 for first place, 7 for second, and so on. In 2024 the choices were Premiere - Hoth, Premiere - Death Star II and Premiere - Reflections II (no AOBS or WYS).[3]
