Introduction

This is the bare bones of the Kashyyk Uprising deck I’ve posted a topic on in the forum. It’s just here to give you guys an idea of what I’m talking about. ***IMPORTANT*** I only play with a circle of close friends - when reviewing this deck DO NOT take into account any tournament rulings that do not apply in my dining room!

The published list has 61 cards.

Notes

  • Qty 61 as published (no section counts are given). The author says house rules apply ('do not take into account any tournament rulings').
  • Original-era (V): Han's Heavy Blaster Pistol (V) and Sai'torr Kal Fas (V) (VS1); Nightfall (V) (VS2); Chewbacca (V) (VS3); Luke's Blaster Pistol (V) (VS6; the draft had dropped the V).
  • Posted '2X – 3KPR' dested 2X-3KPR (Tooex) (the draft had garbled it); 'RA-7' RA-7 (Aray-Seven); 'Romas “Lock” Nevander' (unmarked) the printed Romas 'Lock' Navander; 'Nar Saddaa Wind Chimes' Nar Shaddaa Wind Chimes; '<>' sites the Special Edition generic sites.

Strategy

Ok, so I’ve not played this yet but I’m looking for comments to get it ready to play.

Basically it’s all about going for big force drains on Kashyyk – using the Operatives and Ithorians to make each site a good drain of 3.

Ideally I’d hold back with my Wookies and Mains and spread thin on Kashyyk with Operatives and Ithorians to go for the flip / large force drain and to tempt my opponent into using his Defensive Shield Leave Them To Me. I’ll avoid a beat down with the Houjix and then hammer down the Wookies, mains and weapons to deal a beating of my own.

If need be then Obi, Luke and Han are ready to jump down elsewhere to do some killing on my opponent’s planet sites.

I’ve put Restricted Deployment and H’nemthes in there to slow down any further invasions of Kashyyk and to wipe up any characters he’s brought down and left vulnerable. I’ve got Romas in there to sort out any over confident reacting cards slowing the force drains.

If anybody can suggest a way to get Chewbacca out early then I could reduce the number of Wookies to make space for other stuff.

Nightfall, the Droids, and Slight Weapons Malfunction are in there to increase the pain when he comes down. The Superficial Damage will re-cycle my weapons and make up forfeit for the Operatives while my opponent occupies a Subjugated Planet location.

It’s desperately lacking and space defence so some cheap, hard hitting suggestions would also be appreciated – the deck is definitely vulnerable to Battle Order but I don’t have Han, Chewie And The Falcon and wouldn’t want to restrict the characters like that.

Cheers guys.
