Ok, first thing, grab and deploy locations with TDIGWATT and Im sorry. Draw until u have a character with ability 3 or greater and u have a comlink. This is where the fun starts. Deploy the ability 3 character in the middle of ur three locations with the comlink (try to get a lift tube there as well). Deploy a stormtrooper on either side. Play a bounty hunter ship and dark deal(later move him up to bespin and back up for cc occupation). Keep at least 4 stormies in ur hand with a coupla of assaults. If ur opponent tries to beatdown react, deploy stormies for free and play assaults. If ur opponent has any character with ability of 2 or less, play stunning leader for major force loss (all his jedi hang out while their little bud gets pounded). If ur opponent leaves u on alone, drain for 9 force a turn. Card selections:
- Search and destroy, cc ocupation give u a little direct damage.
- Full scale alert, what an awesome card! Keeps your opponent from running away from a lost battle, or keeps all his starships at rendevous point for a crucial turn or two so that u can control bespin.
- Cadets are there for forfeiting
- I use regular stormies b/c they deploy free when u have an imperial of ability greater than 2 there.
Liberation(V), add too cold for speeders. Send in a hit squad of ability 3 guy and a bunch of stormies= worlds of hurt. Drains should be waaay to much for them
WYS, this is probably my favorite opponent. Play hit squad, then use full scale alert to prevent his reacting (it may not stop his smugglers from reacting, but it prevents the vehicles they r aboard from doing so). one palace raider on vehicle against at least 4 stormies and a coupla assaults=ouch! (this strategy works for most ground based light side decks, deploy ur squad-troopers for free!-full scale alert and stunning leader(which really kills against LSC when they have some little guys hanging w/the jedi) prevent their high ability characters and reacting capabilities from being involved and battle)
Space, this isnt too bad either. Simply occupy CC quickly and drain. Bounty hunters in their ships are powerful (also thrawn, fel, etc, can be tossed in a ship to add a little more power and forfeiting. I luv having dengar, bossk, and zuckuss up agains say 5 x-wings or a-wings, (I get three battle destiny which is plus 5, and they get none-and they have no immunity to attrition, im beginning to think that dengar is better than zuckuss!)
Cards I wish I had, and would put in instantly if I had: imp domination, they must never again leave this city, executer, (and im sure there are others im missing, please help me out)
responses: shewski-i wouldnt have a pile of force lying around. the whole idea behind using the normal stormies is they deploy for free to same site as an imperial of ability greater than 2. mightn't u fall into the trap of lil' ole' motti by himself w/comlink, and my force pile is EMPTY
catman-excellent point about yavin sentry(v) that is a pain. i may consider adding more vaders and putting senses in to counter if he tries to cancel my interrupts
