Strategy
Wow... where to start? RTP is a deck I haven't tried playing for in a LONG time... a long time. "So you do know him!" "Well of course I know him... he's me."
My main idea when building this deck was to turn it into a beatdown deck that utilized character exclusion (Clash and EPP Lando, in this case) to keep forfeit fodder characters from protecting those big mains like Vader, Maul, Mara, etc. With their backup out of the way and immunity to attrition removed, they're going to get kicked off table fairly easily... which means that they're going to get POOP just as easily.
As you can see, this deck also uses a large number of very high-destiny cards for saber swings, battle destinies, and On The Edge's. Bionic Hand (V) is very quickly becoming one of my favorite cards... not only can it grab my Clash's back, but also my Houjix's, On The Edge's, and Escape Pod (V)'s if/when I need them. The fact that it's also a destiny 7 card that can be retrieved by Yoxgit is just icing on the cake.
Rycar is obviously to pull out that Merc Armor and Undercover (V)... which Leia will be recieving as soon as she gets free and drains for four at the prison. Keep her UC for the whole game if possible... no need to have more variables in play than necessary, right? Lift Tubes are also fairly obvious... speed up the Leia-freeing process if you get one in starting hand, and/or have some extra destiny 6 cards floating around.
However... why Red 6, you ask? Because of the destiny number, of course! Wedge and Corran are going to stick together as often as possible... if that means you have to drop Corran as a spy to a site and follow up with Wedge, you do it. If that means you drop both aboard ships at a system, you do it. These two are like oxygen and hydrogen... and your opponent wouldn't want to be around either when they start to get together. >;)
That should pretty much cover it. Feel free to ask me any questions about the design or the strategy via email or through the forums.
Enjoy!
