- Original-era (V): Black 2 (V) (VS1); Trooper Davin Felth (V) (VS3); Security Precautions (V) (VS4; ovs_pick returned a VS7+ printing (sets 7+ default to legal from 2004-06-01); used the latest VS1-6 printing instead); Mist Hunter (V) (VS5); Ability, Ability, Ability (V) (VS6).
- Unique cards posted x2 (Emperor Palpatine, Maul's Sith Infiltrator, Sergeant Barich, Sergeant Elsek, Feltipern Trevagg) dested as posted.
Strategy
The main point of this deck is to... have fun! The competetive atmosphere around here lately, even at locals, has started wearing me down quite a bit... so here's a little pick-me-up for those of you who feel the same.
The great thing is, not only is this deck fun to play, it's actually REALLY GOOD at what it does! Your main focus is to get a stranglehold on the system to keep your troopers as high-destiny as possible (Maul helps out with the piddly pilots, while Baron w/ guns clears out Luke or Corran or whoever). Beyond that, just swarm the ground and drain away!
A few card choices:
Feltipern Trevagg - Just having fun combining Feltipern with the LS text on my Swamp. While he's sitting there, the light side player needs to save back FIVE FORCE to innitiate battle there. If I can find the room, I'll be throwing in a copy of Presence o/t Force to drop on the Swamp as well, increasing LS's innitiation cost to 7.
Barquin D'an - Destinies are high enough in here to make him worthwhile... and seeing as how the rest of the deck's retrieval base consists of 1) deploying operatives to Raithall sites, and 2) a once-per-game Abyssin Ornament (if I'm tracking right) for 4-5... well, I'd like to have something fairly constant. And no, Imperial Reinforcements (V) is NOT a viable option, considering the fact that I'm doing a massive character swarm.
Look Sir, Droids! - Plenty of reasons to have this in here. It outright kills Rescue The Princess, it gets rid of Threepio (either naked or hopping mad), and it helps keep Feltipern Trevagg's text usable by killing off any droids they happen to drop to the Swamp. Plus, Trooper Felth (V) pulls it out, so it's easy to pull off whenever I need to.
Anyhoo, don't judge the book by it's cover here... this deck is surprisingly quick on its feet, and packs a whallup. And most importantly, it's a heck of a lot of fun to play with and against.
Enjoy!
