Strategy
First things first, a quick note on the Rep choice... I'm kinda tired right now and the words are a bit fuzzy, but I know I saw the word "Gungan" in General Jar Jar's lore, so I think he's a legal choice. If not, go ahead and swap out Corran for Tat Jar Jar (who will be the new Rep), pull Gen Jar Jar with Strike Planning and use him to pull BMM, then pull out Tat Jar Jar with BMM or Boss Nass and get him cycling between BMM and AITC.
I actually worked most of this out in my head trying to get to sleep, and I ended up finishing it between bouts of insomnia... so bear with me on this one, it's a little weird (even for me).
Strat is actually fairly simple, being an alien drain deck... and anybody who's seen any of my Gungan decks in the past knows how nasty some of those drains at the Battle Plains can get. Having Tessek boost those drains even further is absolutely AWESOME, as well as the character retrieval inherent in AITC and through CD(V). To start with, pull a couple of generals (Jar Jar and a non-unique General, obviously). You should have a WGAGA in hand (if not, DRAW FOR IT!), so go ahead and use it to pull the Boss's chambers... which pulls the Boss... who pulls Rep Been... who pulls Ohta Gunga and gives you a NICE activation bonus at the Boss's chambers. Boss continues to pull Gungans and Steady Steady from the deck for remainder of game as needed, and WGAGA pulls the Battle Plains and Fambaas, or knocks off some UC spies. The hard site to pull out is gonna be the Swamp... best bet is to either Tunnel for it or draw into it, but you won't need it for a few turns so don't worry too much. You're going to drop Gen Jar Jar and the non-unique General to a site where you'll end up clearing yourself out if you battle, use Jar Jar to pull BMM, then initiate battle. Rebel Leadership if you've got it. Drop Jar Jar to BMM, and the non-unique General to the lost pile. Now that Jar Jar has discovered BMM limbo, you're ready to flip!
To flip the thing, it gets a bit tricky... you can either drop Mirax, Lando, or Tessek to the Trade Route for your third battleground site and move them into the AC after flip, or hold off on pulling Bo Shuda until after you've flipped (keeping the AC as a battleground). You will need both Naboo battlegrounds out for this as well, with a non-unique Gungan on at least one of them. Once you flip, you can start using the Jar Jar loop... pull him off of BMM, use him on AITC to cancel a drain or battle destiny, deploy/battle/forfeit him back to BMM, wash, rinse, repeat.
Now, let's take a look at the drain potential here:
AC: none... you've got Bo Shuda out, silly!
Swamp: 3 (1 natural, +1 from Kaadu, +1 from Tessek)
Battle Plains: 5 (2 natural, +2 from Steady Steady, +1 from Tessek)
... so a total drain potential of 8 a turn. Not the best in the world... but considering the fact that you're draining 8 a turn from two sites that are pretty much impervious to attack, the fact that you're retrieving any and all characters you lose, and the fact that you'll be dropping some Gungan beats here and there, I'd say it all evens out. Oh yeah, and you'll be cancelling at least one drain a turn, if not two. Woohoo.
A few card choices:
Quiggy and Corran - anti-Maul. Tatooine Maul is a pain in the neck against decks like this, so it's good to have a couple characters with ability 4 and up. Quiggy is great specifically against Maul, and Corran is a spy... good enough for me.
IHABFAT (Bad Feeling) - one trick most people haven't caught on to yet to battle Gungan decks is the use of Presence Of The Force on the Boss's chambers. Drop that, throw down a few high-powered droids for normal cost, and beat the crap out of Nass and Been. With IHABFAT, I can re-direct PotF to a site of my choosing (Battle Plains or Swamp, obviously... I'll take that extra drain potential!). Also good against at screwing up a LOT of other effect-based strategies, etc.
Uh-Oh! - keeps Bo Shuda from getting cancelled. Can't argue with that!
So overall, this deck doesn't do too much damage, but it absorbs enough and has enough tricks up it's sleeve to hold it's own, IMO. If nothing else, it's a hell of a lot of fun to play!
Enjoy!
