Strategy[edit]

A pure beats deck. With V6 having so many cards in it that compliment the Jabba's Palace environment, I thought I'd give the Abyssin swarm a new look. The main thing this deck has going for it, above all else, is SPEED. It drains OK, it's got better-than-average staying power, awesome retrieval... but none of this would mean anything if it weren't for the fact that the deck plays like greased lightening (which actually happens to be my other nickname for it). Basically, just use the AC to pull Jabba, use Influence to pull out your aliens, and use the Abyssins for beat squads (at least 4 at a time to get that ever-needed destiny draw). Other than the deck's speed, your biggest ally is going to be surprise... NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! er, NOBODY expects an Abyssin swarm!

A couple quick card explanations should end this strat section nicely.

Card choices:

Ability, Ability, Ability (V) - As this IS a battling deck, I think the first portion of this card's text blends in VERY nicely, and is a great backer to the retrieval from Scum And Villainy. The anti-Senator text and the anti-Combat card text can also be of a bit of assistance (on the off chance that you need to drop Palpy at Naboo against LSC... though I doubt that's gonna happen).

Mara Jade - usually self-explanatory, but thought I'd add how great it is that you can pull an awesome beats character like Mara using Jabba's Influence (V). Even better when you can drop her, battle, forfeit her, battle elsewhere, and retrieve her and her saber with Scum And Villainy. Woohoo.

Omni Box & It's Worse - ICBW damage prevention is always annoying... best to turn that prevention into devastation, in my opinion. Also the Omni Box part is nice for screwing up an opponent's tracking before battle or before they draw for Combat or whatever. The fact that it's a recycling 5 that is frequently annoying should make it a tempting card to grab, as well.

Enjoy!
