Cube v7 + Objectives Draft
Cube v7 + Objectives Draft is a draft format on GEMP in which each player first picks two objective packs per side and then drafts 54 cards from a cube list. GEMP's draft list points this type to /draft/cubeObj7Draft.json.[1][2][3]
- Type: booster draft (GEMP cube draft)
- Defined by: Players Committee Cube page; GEMP draft file
- Card pool: a Cube version 7 list with objective packs; 2 objective picks and 54 card picks per side, no fixed cards
- In use: unknown
- GEMP: Cube v7 + Objectives Draft (
c7obj_draft) on play.swccg.com; on the Players Committee GEMP the same draft file is played under the Cube format[4]
Card pool
The draft has no fixed cards. For each side a player makes two objective picks from 15 objective packs, then 54 normal picks from a list of 262 Light Side or 259 Dark Side cards.[3] In an objective pick each choice is a whole pack, shown by its first card: the first pick offers two packs and the second offers one, and the player gets every card in the chosen pack. The packs have 8 to 25 cards each.[5][3]
How picks work
GEMP shuffles each side's pick list and offers a shrinking "pack": 9 cards, then 8, down to 1, then 9 again, six times over 54 picks. A card already in the player's pool is not offered again, and a picked card brings any add-on cards listed for it.[5][3]
Deck rules
On play.swccg.com the format sets a deck size of 40 cards and is not a game hall format.[1][6] The Players Committee code's draft file names its cube format instead, which sets 45 cards.[4][7] The format's set list is the same as Open; the drafted pool limits what a player can use.[1]
History
The Players Committee Cube page links older cubes, versions 1 to 7, from 2014 to 2020, but does not describe this draft.[8] GEMP's draft list also keeps two Cube v7 drafts marked legacy, c7_draft and c7revised_draft.[2] The Players Committee GEMP code has the same draft file under its Cube format; play.swccg.com gave it its own format.[4][3][1] No source gives who built it or when, and no event result is recorded.
Tournaments
No tournament on List of SWCCG tournaments is recorded in this format yet. Events are added here when their page gives this format.
