Introduction

My version of WYS was built keeping in mind the spirit in which the objective was created. For fun, I tossed in a little Corellia side strat. If you're prejudiced against WYS, now's your chance to run away in fear.

Strategy

After a lot of playtesting and casual playing, I find this deck to be very adaptable to the opponent's strategy. But one thing remains the same: Kessel Runs. Basically, hold Kessel so Outrider or the Falcon can complete Kessel Runs (in one turn, in most cases). Hold Corellia and deploy Corellian Engineering Corporation to get your Quad Laser Cannons, which can be fired to add BD with Slight Weapons Malfunction.

Most everything else is up to how your opponent plays you. There are so many BD adders in this deck that you're bound to have one or two in your hand (or your lost pile >: ) ) for each battle.

CARD CHOICES

Chewbacca (V): Pulls Special Modifications, Kashyyyk, Han

Leebo: Adds to hyperspeed to complete Kessel Runs; causes Force loss for opponent once you complete them.

Melas: Gives you a BD anywhere you put him.

Pulsar Skate: Put Leebo and Mirax on it, Kessel Run from Corellia, and you retrieve 9 Force.

YT-1300 Transport: Give you a little extra space power where needed; deploys cheap with CEC.

Quad Laser Cannon: Shoot stuff (hee hee hee!); add BD in conjunction w/ Slight Weapons Malfunction.

Luke (V): Pulls Darklighter Spin, which can give you some InSaNe battle destinies with these starfighters (8 with Red 5 and R2, 6 with Wedge on RS1, etc.).

Red 5 (V): ZIMH giving you trouble? Cancel his game text.

Tatooine Celebration: Steady retrieval before or after Kessel Run. As if you need it.

Projection Of A Skywalker: Give up the smallest drains possible.

Han's Back (V): Like having 2 copies of Han, but with better destiny.

Kashyyyk: Can be pulled by Chewie (V); if nothing else, gives you another drain.

NOTABLE OMISSIONS

On The Edge: This is very popular in WYS, but with all the retrieval I already have, I don't see it as necessary.

We Wish To Board At Once: Don't tell me to switch The Signal for these. They do the exact same thing, so I don't know why people keep suggesting this switch. Plus, it's a Coruscant rare, making exponentially more difficult to obtain that The Signal. If someone can tell me a reason why it's better, I'd be glad to listen.

Well, I guess that's about it. If you have any questions, please ask them on the 'Ratings Feedback Thread' in the forum before you rate. I'm on my computer all the time, so they should be answered with a relative degree of expedition. : )

RESPONSES

Corran Antilles: I know that Dash Rendar POOPs the Kessel Runs, but that doesn't really matter because I shouldn't need to run more than 2 of them. I want to keep Dash and Outrider in there because it's a great ship. Besides, if I was worried about POOPing cards (get your mind out of the gutter : ) ) I wouldn't play WYS. I might have added Tunnel Vision, but I don't have any copies of it. Also, you wrote: "I'd also add in a couple tunnel visions and switch kessel for Ralitir, so you can retrieve 10 force with your freighter captains. That's really your call though." If I take out Kessel, how am I going to retrieve Force with Kessel Runs? : ) I assume you meant to remove Kashyyyk instead? I had contemplated it, but I didn't think the extra 1 retrieval was that important, plus Kashyyyk is pulled by Chewie (V), so I decided against it. I guess it's a matter of personal preference. Either way, thanks for the review.

Shewski: Thanks for reviewing. Glad to see you appreciate a decent non-Raider WYS. : )

I somehow managed to completely forget about Menace Fades, so thanks for reminding me. I don't have the staging area combo, but I'm looking for one to pull Honor (which, somehow, I don't have either). Lando was added basically as some extra ground force, and is not essential, so I might take him out to make another addition. I decided against R2 in R5 after some serious deliberation, mainly because of (V) Red 5's cool GT. If push comes to shove, I'll switch the two out for one. Fallen Portal is also a good idea, but I couldn't find much else I wanted to cut to make room for it, but I am open to suggestion. I had a hard enough time getting it down to 60 cards. : )
