- Description: You add 4 to every battle destiny draw. Everything dies. You win. Just a basic Scum surprise for day 3. I figured Scum would be minimally teched for. I was right, but alas it didn't matter. :)
Strategy
*Replace Hutt Bounty for Ket Maliss vs space decks or non-interactive decks (like MWYHL or Speeders). It helps you get Greedo faster to cancel drains/battle destinies.
With Fearless And Inventive, Hutt Bouny V, and Den Of Thieves V you add +4 to every battle destiny draw. Thats right, if I draw two BD, I get +8, three BD is +12, etc. Therefore I use all kinds of different ways to add battle destiny draws (Oota Goota V, Superfett, Crossfire V, Mighty Jabba, 4LOM w/gun, Bossk in Tooth, IG w/gun, etc.).
This deck clears Mains like theyre made of confetti. The only problems that could potentially arise are Mace and Quiggy with their infinite immunity, but with the massive amount of power you will produce using these bonuses, they usually dump to cover battle damage anyway. In space, its the same story. You still get the massive adders. Plus you cancel their battle destiny draws with Greedo. It really is quite insurmountable, and a perfect gimmicky deck for day 3.
VS Profit
Seriously, you win. Start with Jabba and Chall (who pulls a Rodian into your starting hand). Use the Rodian to pull 4LOM or IG88 to keep Leia, RP from auto-flipping. The rest is just battles and beats. With nearly half your deck as characters, you should come out on top. If they try the Dont Forget The Droids V trick, well thats what the Senses are for.
VS Hidden Base (matching pilots or x-wings)
You have plenty of ships to fight with, and as stated your battle destinies are huge. I cleared about 6 X-wings in one battle vs Pistones HBX deck on day 3. Oh, and getting the matching pilots on the right ships is unimportant, just really good if it happens. So dont come out whining about, You dont use Combat Response or You dont even have a Short Range combo! If you say that, youre ignorant.
VS Hidden Base (cannons)
This is the toughest matchup, because its so hard to fight in space. Gela and cloaking Maul are your heroes. Wait for the flip to deploy and probe. If you get lucky and hit their HB early, you should win with drains and Search and Destroy. Otherwise, youre in for a tough game. I decided not to add too much tech for this matchup since it would greatly dilute the central theme. Keeping the rest of the deck weak against this only matchup and strong against everything else is the right decision.
VS Lightsaber Combat
This is one of the easiest wins. With the combat shield out, your aliens can swarm Naboo like locusts, and with the BD adders, their Jedi will just fall over and die. Not to mention your extreme retrieval thanks to Scum & Villainy. This is one of LSCs hardest matchups.
VS Senate
Once again, the BD adders will make or break the game. For a very nasty trick as well, try dropping Ree Yees or Bane in the senate with Oota Goota V and draw two BDs at +4 each to clear the senate!
VS TRM (or variant, like the goldenrod HAT)
Most TRM players expect this to be a favorable matchup. But few are ready for your strength in battle. Fortify carefully and dont worry so much about coming down fast. Take your time to set up solid and TRM wont be able to break your shell. It may turn out to be a slow game, but you should prevail in the end (if not simply for your shear number of characters).
VS WYS
You should be able to clear them off the system without too much headache with the massive attrition you should be dealing, and as most people know, once WYS loses the system, they lose the game. But in case you have unexpected difficulties with this, just focus your attention to holding the interior sites and keeping up a steady drain. In can be a tough matchup, but you have all the tools you need to win. If you are really worried about this, swap out the senses for Theyre Still Coming and/or a Jodo Kast or Guri.
VS Speeders
Just like WYS, knock them off the system and you should win. There will only be one system on the table (Hoth) so without anywhere to run (and canceling their BD draws), you should prevail pretty easily. Otherwise, its just a drain race.
VS WHAP
Oh, please. You win. Aliens with massive attrition at the Theed Throne Room = game over for WHAP. Oh, and you're canceling their battle destinies.
VS MBO
Basically, youll be playing against DDM here. And he hates aliens. ;)
This was my day 3 choice for 2006 Worlds, and a good one at that. I lost to Meeker's goldenrod HAT deck after top-decking the AC on the first drain (talk about bad luck!). It would have been a heck of a game if that horrible event would never have happened. Anyway, it's fun to play with tons of characters and lots of battles. My other choice was SYCFA but that's just so stinkin' boring! This is the first deck I've posted in about 5 years, so enjoy!
