Strategy

Edit 1:

Walkers is an autowin, thats what I built it to beat. You have to play walkers through to know how to beat them, I think. As for SYC, thats a risk Im willing to take. No one plays it, because its never proven to be strong deck (except played by Lee, so this is the first year it made day 3 I think?). I guess it would be a damage race I would probably lose, but its not worth scrapping the deck because random newb #1 I play in some DPC or something has a SYCFear deck. Plus, between the 2 Alters, your 4-5 turn setup, Flash every turn, and sensing your effect pullers, there is a SMALL chance I could pull it out.

I originally wasnt going to write a strategy at all, but Ill at least do a little blurb. This is the deck (plus or minus 3 cards) I played at DPC Atlanta (3rd) and Mystic Visions (2nd), and Dave Lankton played at MD states (2nd) and WI states (1st) and Scott Diehl played at WI states (2nd). I think John Anderson and a couple people have built similar decks. The only game I lost was against Paul Myers at Atlanta, because on turn 2 Quigon came down against Palpatine, hit with colo, smoke screened, and he drew a blind 7.

The thing you have to remember when you start is that you shouldnt think of it as a profit deck. Its a TRM with a different start, cons being you give away icons and go second, pros being you generate 5 (6 with wokling) and can pull Leia, 3P0 and Lando. If you are leaving cards (besides Quigon and MAYBE Yoda) on the table, you're playing the deck wrong.

Quigon is a tank. He goes at the Naboo Battle Plains. While they're busy fortifying the

AC or trying to overflow Quigon (SATM, adds destiny with Maul, Its a trap, Smoke Screen, Sense - they cant), you pick up the other planet and start doing your damage, all the while getting your beatdown crews in hand and lining up serious damage. The real power is in beatdowns, but with Profit you also have the potential to get some

decent damage going if you do have to flip your objective.

I usually start Colo, Seeking (v), and Wokling (v).

I said earlier you would be playing the deck wrong, and I totally believe there is a right way and a wrong way to play EVERY deck. I would never play any other Profit. Same reason AOTBS still isn't the deck it could be; Han/Xizor is a liability, and a deck that revolves around protecting a character cant do it forever. Han is safe while he is frozen, while you build your hand and stack your deck. I do free Han every game,

usually for free and at no potential risk.

Alternate versions: First version had a small space package, 2x Bright Hope (v) and 2x Spiral, with Artoo BLD. Good, but not enough to break the Executor, so I dropped it completely. My last version had musicians pre-errata, but only Uh-oh (v) and 2 musicians. The idea was just more retrieval, but I think it is overkill.

The only matchup Im afraid of is CCT, but I havent lost it yet. Space CCT is the worst, but they give you a good drain site. Flash is huge, I would even think about adding an On The Edge for this.
