Strategy

This deck is so strong. With it I beat Scott Lingrell, Greg Shaw, Bill Kafer, Drew Scott, Jon Westergard (from MD), and went undefeated with it to win the MD State championship and the Mystic Visions open.

I built this deck before I looked at Jonny Chu's deck, but in comparison it's almost the exact same.

Standard play:

Everybody always pulls the race shield as soon as the race comes to a close, so I built this deck to depend on retrieving the 6 force on turn 4-5. Always start the race right away, and on your first turn drop someone to Naboo. Hopefully it will be a Jedi, but Leia or Corran will do just fine. With 2x Barrier, 2x Dodge, 3x Escape Pod and Houjix, you should be pretty safe from any fast damage. You have to count on them trying to come at you on Naboo, so don't spread out to 2 sites unless you have a Dodge and a Barrier, or your Houjix. I like to play the Grimtaash on the Hologameboard to let them know I have it, but against Senate, Huntdown, or Combat I wouldn't play there with any less than Projection of a Skywalker.

Damage is not a huge part of this deck. They cannot stop the damage you do on Naboo, and you should be able to hold a system indefinitly to allow I Did It! and V Luke to retrieve.

Vs. Senate:

They will probably start Naboo, which causes problems. If they don't, then you don't have to worry. There big hitters will be Maul and Vader, and you definitly have an Alter for Blast Door COntrols. Combat them away, since their destiny isn't so good outside of a battle. Wait to go to space until they play to a system, so you can drop Malastare and the Baron won't be able to get you. Thrawn is neutralized by system text, and if Maul comes to space Luke or Corran can get around him. You can basically FORCE them to pull the combat shield, grabber shield, and battle order, so they won't have any other options. I beat Greg Shaw at MD states with this, and I didn't even get Leia until turn 8 or 9.

Vs. Combat:

You have a huge force choke on them from the beginning, and can suspend Mobilization Points as soon as they pull Executor or whatever. As soon as you can, play Luke to space so you can search for All Wings Combo and pull an extra 7 (Artoo in Red 5) every turn. Definitly don't go to the Hologameboard without Projection, cause you know they will have Visages and Phantom Menaces floating around. Sense and grab the Blow Parried, and make them pay to drain. With your choke, you should be able to keep them out of space pretty effectively.

Vs. Hunt Down:

You can cancel Visage, but you have to decide whether it's worth it or not. If they give you a few icons, I would let it live as long as you can keep a Jedi on the table. Since you have retrieval and they don't, and you have force drain ability and they can't do anything off of Naboo, you win. Played this against Drew at Mystic Visions.

Vs. Scum:

You have solid drains, they have solid drains. You have retrieval, they have more. This is a hard matchup. You have to pull Aim High, and try to suprise them in the Audience Chamber early. You should be able to hold space longer than them, which should give you an edge, but don't even deploy Malastare until you can put Luke with at least Spiral as backup in your hand.

Vs. Walkers:

They can't really stop your drains, and if you Sense Walker Garrison and get Malastare out, they won't be able to kick you out of space. I played against Jon with this, and beat him by 9 (swiss) and 30 (final confrontation) at Mystic Visions.

This deck is so adaptable. It has the unstoppable drains, and if they interfere it has direct damage. It's huge.

The First Rule of Project Mayhem is that you do not talk about Project Mayhem.
