Electrobinoculars (EB) is one of the most versatile cards in SW:CCG. It would be difficult to imagine a deck where this card is not useful. Any type of strategy, be it high battle destiny, weapons, or an interrupt laden philosophy, can benefit from the presence of EB. One of the often overlooked advantages of EB is that the only way to counter the effect is to eliminate the character carrying the device. The ability to control destiny draws can make a decisive difference in many games. There are a vast number of combos which utilize the destiny control ability of EB. Be warned that the limited version of EB is a misprint and should read one to deploy, two to use.
Combos:
EB + Spys + any of Double Agent or I'm Here to Rescue You or Sabotage. Use your spys to the fullest when you know the draws will succeed. Double Agent to destroy DS spys(even Undercover). Free the captives on the Death Star with I'm Here to Rescue You. Finally, use EB to make sure there are no 0 destinies waiting, and Sabotage Vader's Lightsaber.
EB + Timer Mine. Insure the destruction of a large DS taskforce by using EB to find a 5 or 6 for the Timer Mine destiny draw.
EB + Kabe or Wioslea. Thieves and gamblers like to have the inside information when they work. Use EB to insure you can get that droid Wioslea had his eye on or that shiny new Dark Jedi Lightsaber Kabe was looking at. Wioslea can also use EB to get the most for the droid he sells when using Spaceport Speeders.
EB + Surprise Assault. Sting the DS player by Surprise Assaulting that Imperial Trooper Guard and then flipping over the 6 destiny card you found with EB.
EB + Panic. Use the EB to bring Obi or Luke to the top of the reserve deck. When the DS launches an attack at any site, give your defense a little more punch. Or maybe a lot more punch.
EB + weapons or destiny adders. The most basic use of EB is to find a high destiny card to power a weapon or destiny draw. While basic, this is still extremely powerful. The DS gets pretty annoyed when a Rebel Trooper with a Blaster Rifle takes out Vader.
EB + Death Star Plans or On The Edge. Insure the maximum return for DS Plans by finding a nice destiny for the first card. EB takes a lot of the worry out of using On The Edge to regenerate force. EB can also help Figrin D'an stack the cards.
EB + Sense or Alter. If you can't get Obi or Luke out, use EB to insure the success of your Sense or Alter by finding a low destiny value.
EB + Collision. Another EB use for the low destiny draw can even out the odds a bit in a Death Star fight. Play a couple of Collisions and watch as those TIEs and Imperial Star Destroyers go careening into one another.
Just plain fun Combo:
EB + Cantina Brawl. Won't the Emperor be annoyed when he hears that Vader was taken out by a flying Juri Juice mug in the Cantina after you use the EB to find a 6 destiny!
