Title

Tantive IV

Lore

Diplomatic ship of the House of the Governor of Alderaan. Princess Leia used it for her duties as an Imperial senator (and for the Rebel Alliance's top-secret missions). Captured by the Devastator in orbit over Tatooine.

Game text

May add 3 pilots and 4 passengers. Has docking capability. A permanent pilot with ability 2 is aboard. May be deployed to any system (even without personnel and Force icons).

Both originals identify the ship as a capital corvette. The Japanese lore calls it a ship of the governor's house on Alderaan (総督家), where the English says "Royal House of Alderaan consular ship." The Japanese describes Leia's duties as an Imperial senator and the Rebels' secret missions, where the English says "Imperial Senate business" and "secret Rebel espionage." Both original game texts finish with deployment to any system. The Japanese parenthesis uses 人員とフォース・アイコン ("personnel and Force icons"), while the English says "presence or Force icons."[1][2]

Rules

The November 1998 Decipher Glossary Version 2.0 states that English is the standard for tournament play, directing foreign-language cards and rules to be played and interpreted as their English counterparts under current rulings, errata and clarifications.[3]
