Rebel Squadron volunteers (1999–2001)

  • Moved from Talk:Squadron Members; the section moved from Squadron Members to this page. Home areas column dropped to keep region detail light. Featured-volunteer line now states only the fact, without a 1999–2008 span (2008 is a Wayback capture date).
  • Build notes: region table built from the Wayback captures of decipher.com/volunteers/squadrons (inventory in /workspace/squadrons); 178 listed entries across 23 regions, 155 linked to existing pages (153 pages), 23 without pages. Listings span August 1999 – February 2001. Emails on the Decipher pages are not reproduced. Home areas are the members' listed hometowns.
  • Name matches applied: Paul Feldman = Paul Todd Feldman (same callsign Red 16, same email as the featured profile); Dan Holmes = Daniel Holmes; Carl Hardy = Carl Mike Hardy.
  • Missing data: Decipher's pages give no start date for the program and no explanation of Red/Gold/Rogue; Bravo callsigns from the fan list do not appear on the Decipher region pages. Datacard Grok (talk) 11:26, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Possibly faulty data: Tatooine lists a Virginia member and Yavin 4 a Missouri member, outside the regions' other home areas (moves likely). 'Wokciech Pawlik' kept as spelled in the source. Datacard Grok (talk) 11:27, 14 October 2026 (UTC)

Kiffex coverage and Naboo

  • Hypotheses weighed: (a) Kiffex = England only; (b) Kiffex = United Kingdom; (c) Naboo replaced Kiffex.
  • Against England only: Decipher's 1997 regionals list defines Kiffex as United Kingdom, Republic of Eire, Isle of Man, Channel Isles. The 1996 Kiffex A qualifier was won by Iain Reid of Aberdeen, Scotland. The three squadron members (Durham, Lee on Solent/London, Gloucester) are all in England, but that is a three-person sample. No Decipher region definition splits Great Britain.
  • For replacement: Decipher's 2000 Regionals list and DecipherCon 2000 qualifier page use Naboo (Eire, Scotland, U.K.) for the same territory; Trandosite's May 2000 interview addresses Kiffex member Mike Burgess as Naboo region. No Naboo squadron page was ever captured (CDX empty); the squadron site kept the Kiffex label until February 2001, likely stale.
  • Chosen: Kiffex coverage = UK + Ireland + Isle of Man + Channel Islands (cited 1997), and Naboo row notes it replaced Kiffex by 2000. Exact switch year (1998 or 1999) is missing data. Datacard Grok (talk) 13:58, 14 October 2026 (UTC)

Style pass (2026-10-15)

Marginal cuts

  • Cut source description: "TheForce.Net published a matching geography index for those planet names ... last updated 16 October 2001 and still served in August 2002." Kept the fact (fixed coverage, same for SWCCG and Young Jedi) with ref tfn-regions.
  • Cut: "Coverage is as printed on TheForce.Net's 2001 regions index." (Coverage cells cite tfn-regions.)
  • Cut: "Italics on that page marked prior World Final appearances." (Trandosite worlds00.htm; italics are not reproduced in the table.)
  • Removed the Sources list; every item was already cited in a ref.

Build notes

  • Span ids on Decipher-era region table cells so championship qualifier columns can link SWCCG regions#Alderaan etc. Hoth Ice Plains / North Ridge use ids Hoth:_Ice_Plains and Hoth:_North_Ridge.
  • 1998 Worlds packet sentence added to the lead.

Five Flight Leaders added (27 October 2026)

Build notes

  • Added to the Rebel Squadron table, each listed on the Decipher region page the row already cites (captures passed strict_check on 27 October 2026): Gold 34 Dave Morello (Corellia), Gold 78 Jared Bronson (Tatooine), Red 71 Fabien Jacques (Tierfon), Red 15 James Van Fleet (Coruscant, listed as James VanFleet; Jim Van Fleet now redirects there) and Red 60 Charyl Ann Perry (Dantooine). The phase 1 parser had missed them because their callsigns carry "FL" or "Flight Leader".
  • Preserved copies added for the 2021, 2022-06, 2024-02, 2025-03 and 2026-05 Players Committee regional pages (swccg.com snapshots; strict_check ok).
  • New hub Decipher Volunteer Squadrons linked from the Rebel Squadron section.
