Missing data

  • Exact dates of the Florida stay are not given. Braunlich places it after the Star Trek launch, before the Star Wars license, at the start of the "lost year".
  • Premiere Limited rulebook and packaging credits have not been transcribed. Borg's printed credit is from the Introductory Two-Player Game rules booklet (Hasbro PDF of that booklet).
  • The Empire Strikes Back two-player PDF credits are a Joseph Campbell dedication only; Borg is not named there.
  • No Borg interview about SWCCG found.
  • Internet Archive movie item youtube-AXdIdJwnjgc is still missing; the watch-page Wayback copy is cited.
  • Photographer of BoardGameGeek image 8395493 is not named on the image page. Wayback Save of the BGG image-page URL returned 404 (Cloudflare); the original PNG is the Preserved copy.

Possibly faulty data

  • Days of Wonder lists "Star Wars: The CCG" among Borg's best-known designs. Wikipedia's SWCCG article names Braunlich and Tesh only. Wikipedia's Richard Borg article omits SWCCG. The BoardGameGeek designer page (fetched 15 October 2026 via FlareSolverr) lists Star Wars: Battle of Hoth and does not list Star Wars CCG. The printed two-player booklet thanks him "for rogue design in an elegant system" and does not call him co-designer. The article follows Braunlich's Florida-retreat account and that printed thank-you. The Days of Wonder designer credit is not used in the body.
  • The two-player playtester list includes Sandy Borg. No published source ties that name to Richard Borg.

Marginal cuts

  • Full later-game lists from Wikipedia and Days of Wonder (Commands & Colors: Ancients, Napoleonics, Samurai Battles, The Great War, BattleLore, Lord of the Rings: The Siege of Minas Tirith).
  • Spiel des Jahres 1993 for Bluff / Liar's Dice.
  • Hasbro PDF production detail: 2001 Acrobat scan of the booklet, image-only, credits page rotated 90°.
  • YouTube-click composite at tabletopgameicons.com (Commands & Colors overlay, "Fact checked", "Watch on YouTube"). Same face as BGG 8395493; the BGG portrait is the article image.
  • BGG image 241133 (MartinStever, 26 August 2007, no rights reserved): Borg holding BattleLore and Memoir '44 boxes. Face match; not used as the lead thumb.

Build notes

  • Florida retreat: The Booster Pack #28, 3:06–4:40 (YouTube AXdIdJwnjgc); wiki transcript The Booster Pack/Episode 28 transcript.
  • Printed credit read from Hasbro PDF page 10 (cover titles the booklet Introductory Two-Player Game Rules Booklet).
  • Wayback captures opened: Hasbro PDF 20261015192404, Days of Wonder 20261015192424, Wikipedia Richard Borg 20261015192458, Buzzsprout episode page 20261015182932, BGG pic8395493.png 20261015220108.
  • BGG designer and image pages fetched through FlareSolverr on gemp :8191 (Cloudflare).
