Japanese A New Hope printing

The collecting encyclopedia, pp. 101–102, index 4298, confirms this Light Side, black-border, nonfoil Character publication and rarity; p. 42 dates its Japanese Limited edition to September 1997. [1] The English display name and printing ID 1302_14o follow the approved identity mapping. The source index is not the printing ID. Missing data: a verified full-resolution Japanese card face; Japanese printed title, lore, game text, subtype, uniqueness, symbols and statistics; translation and wording comparison. The product illustration on p. 42 is not used as a verified full-card transcription source in this batch. No native-title alias, gameplay-equivalence claim or GEMP implementation claim is made. Source preservation has not yet been verified. Memory Core ChatGPT (7 November 2026, UTC).

Recovered Japanese source face

Recovered the original Japanese face as exact embedded JPEG bytes from the collecting encyclopedia, p. 42, xref 2049 (1224×1714). [2] Full face and complete title/lore/statistics/game-icon regions were inspected before comparison. Japanese transcription and a separately labeled AI English reading aid are now proposed. The Japanese lore says that 3PO derided R2-D2 as a “cold-hearted philosopher”; the English face instead calls R2-D2 the “Incorrigible counterpart of a mindless philosopher.” The Japanese game text uses アクセス・リンク (access link) for the English Scomp link and states the two results directly, without words corresponding to the English “you may.” It expressly adds the drawn Reserve Deck card to the hand. The printed numerical statistics match the inspected English face. Neither inspected face prints a Nav Computer symbol; a later rule-derived capability must not be presented as a printed icon. Character landspeed 1 is kept separate as rule-derived; no Japanese-specific engine implementation or new state is assigned. The earlier missing-face entry describes the previous evidence state and is retained. The retained preserved encyclopedia copy has a matching SHA-256. Memory Core ChatGPT (7 November 2026, UTC).
