Relationship to Brianna Emery
- Bill Bisco decided on 2026-10-25 to drop the earlier "son" wording: the page should call James Emery related to Brianna Emery without saying how. The basis is unsourced: the shared surname and both attending DecipherCon 1999 (Decipher photos sun14 and sun17). In the November 1999 photos James looks about 10–12 and Brianna looks like a teenager.
- The lead names no relationship for now, because the hedged wording Bill chose fails the style_lint banned-word check. Brianna Emery stays under See also.
- No published source states a relationship. Searched: all 174 Decipher DecipherCon 1999 photo caption pages (only sun14 and sun17 name an Emery), Francis K. Lalumiere's four DecipherCon '99 day wrap-ups, the Sunday event schedule, the Players Committee forum search, and the wiki.
Missing data
- No tournament results, decklists or other event appearances found for James Emery beyond the DecipherCon 1999 photo sun17.
Marginal cuts
- No single-person photo of James Emery found. The only photo (sun17) shows him with Lynn Certa, so it stays in the Photographs gallery rather than as a top-right portrait (two-person shots are not person-page portraits).
- The sun17 ref now cites the live Decipher URL with the Internet Archive copy as its Preserved copy.
