Talk:Greg Heisler
Tournament Results audit and lead photo (October 2026)
Checked against every wiki page that names him, the Players Committee forum and site search, DeckTech reports and Decipher's 1997–2001 pages. Added:
- February 1997 St. Louis tournament, 4th of 32, from Decipher's NewsFlash (Preserved copy). The report gives "2/23" with no year; the capture is from March 1997 and names "March 23, a Sunday" as the next event, so 23 February 1997.
- 2000 Death Star II Pre-Release (Normal), 8th of 90 with 6 (+52), from the organizer's forum post (Preserved copy). The post dates the event 6/26/2000. Three DeckTech reports and the event page give 24 June 2000, which the row keeps. The post also lists a "Cabe Cummins" 2nd (8 (+51), Dark); the event page has Kade Cummins.
- 2000 Origins Team Event (teammate of Geoff Snider) and 2001 Wizard World Episode I Closed Environment tournament (Snider's game 4 opponent, Light "Shmi's Hut podracing"). Neither report gives his finish.
- 2001 Normal DPC Light deck "Profit/Harvest", from Steve Kuperman's DeckTech deck notes (game 1 opponent).
Not added, as the sources do not show he played or what he placed:
- 2001 Wizard World King of Corellia: Bradley Augsburger's report says "Olson and Greg Heisler show up, and we get started".
- Michael Girard's DeckTech report thanks "Greg Heisler - for the Icebox and the Icebox II - The Wicked in Wisconsin"; this could mean he ran those events.
Lead photo: File:Greg Heisler DecipherCon 1999.jpg, cropped from Decipher's sat54 photo, whose caption names "Greg Heisler and Matt Reed". The left man matches Decipher's named "Go Greg Heisler!" photo and his Star Wars Insider #48 card, and the right man matches Matthew Reed's card. The uncropped photo is in == Photographs ==. The Players Committee site search had no hits for "heisler". YouTube and Facebook were not searched, because Decipher's own photos named him. Comlink Cursor (talk) 13:09, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
