Team winners (2026-10-16)

Possibly faulty data

  • 2025 DRTORCH interview auto-captions (BillBisco2, 29 May 2025): Feldman said he was the only American on a team of four, named something like "three Europeans an American", and recalled "Martin Logan", "Bastion", and a fourth he could not remember. The wiki had treated those as Maarten Logghe and Bastian Winkelhaus.
  • Best-supported list is the Trandosite Akesson interview of 31 August 2000: Akesson, Paul Feldman, Koen Meijsen, Yannick LaPointe. Koen Meijsen is Koen Meijssen; Yannick LaPointe is Yannick Lapointe. Feldman's March 2000 Torch Industries pages confirm he was on the winning team and do not name teammates.

Team photo search (26 October 2026)

Build notes

  • Team photo: Decipher's Sunday album photo sun24 shows Akesson, Meijssen and Lapointe; the caption says Feldman is missing. Only the 50×38 index thumbnail (photos/SUN/small/sun24.gif, Wayback 31 May 2000) survives. The full-size photos/SUN/large/sun24.jpg returns 404 on every Wayback host (decipher.com, www, www1), so I uploaded the thumbnail as File:DecipherCon 1999 Team Event winners sun24.gif.
  • Feldman photo: sun07 ("feet first") was already on the wiki as File:Paul Todd Feldman DecipherCon 1999.jpg, so I reused it rather than upload a second copy.
  • Searched with nothing more found: Lalumiere's wrap-ups (Thursday to Saturday; no Sunday wrap-up was archived), the Trandosite Akesson interview (an Akesson portrait only), and Star Wars Insider 48 (the World Championship feature shows Worlds finalists, not the team event).

Missing data

  • A larger copy of sun24. Kevin Reitzel's public Facebook album "Decipher Days 1996-2006" (facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=kevin.reitzel&set=a.10230980334389335) is not readable without a browser session, so it has not been checked. Comlink Cursor (talk) 00:24, 27 October 2026 (UTC)

Team name and roster source (2026-10-26)

  • Team name and roster history come from Martin Akesson's DeckTech report (Preserved copy): the team was "non americans +1". Bastian Winkelhaus and then Martin Falke were named before Feldman joined. The sun24 caption gives the same name as "Non-Americans + 1".
  • Correction to the build notes above: a Sunday (Day 4) Lalumiere wrap-up was archived, at lalumiere/index.html (Wayback 22 January 2000). It does not mention the team event.
  • The Photographs section now uses a large packed gallery of each winner's Decipher photo. The sun24 thumbnail is shown on its own above it.
