Joke
Stop motion is the film technique of moving a model a little between frames. The tauntauns in The Empire Strikes Back were animated by Phil Tippett with go motion, a form of stop-motion animation. The lore is the warning that Han's tauntaun will freeze, that is, stop moving. StarWars.com shows Tippett with the stop-motion tauntaun puppet.[1] See Jokes.
