The title plays on Paul Simon's 1977 song "Slip Slidin' Away".[1] The lore puns on two meanings of "shaft": Luke falls down Cloud City's central shaft after his duel with Vader,[2] and "the shaft" is also slang for harsh or unfair treatment.[3] See Jokes.
