Introduction
This deck aims to win through stalling the opponent, enhanced drains, and using the backbone of the Alliance to defend against Imperial incursions.
Decklist
Strategy
First off, use Strike Planning to get Madine and use The Shield is Down to get the Back Door out. Plunk Madine down and reinforce, potentially with Gen Han or cards in hand. Use him to pull a scout (probably Beezer). Beezer then pulls Portable Scanner, which pulls the charges. Use the objective to get the Epic Event and the Bunker.
From there, set up to blow away the Bunker. With your two charges you need to draw a 7 in two destiny draws. There are some assorted cards (Junkin, Throw Me) that will make it easier. I feel two should do the trick, do I need one more?
After you blow the bunker, you get 8 Force back, your opponent loses 8 Force, and their hand. Use this to your advantage to launch some beatdowns, since he in effect loses his next turn as he draws up a hand.
From there, spread and drain on Endor with your scouts. It is essential to use Insurrection to get out the Landing Platform after you blow away the Shield Generator. If you do it beforehand, it will be lost when you succeed. With Cpl Midge out, you will be able to drain 7 per turn at Endor.
Other cards help defend against counterattacks. Close Air Support adds destiny to power and a battle destiny. Taking Them with Us gives your non pilot warriors cheaper deploy, greater defense, and more forfeit. The objective, Bacta Tank and 2-1B will keep your guys coming back for more. Fallen Portal works at the DB and Back Door. Barrier works everywhere! Rebel Leadership limits or adds destiny. Insertion Planning reduces destiny draws. Taking the Initiative adds to your battle destiny (15 characters are scouts/spies). Finally, First Aid is a huge help in that it restores forfeit and/or limits battle damage.
Here's what the unsung heroes do:
Lieutenant Page- adds to destiny draws, mobile landing site
Major Panno- adds to generation
Corporal Kensaric- adds to deploy costs
Corporal Beezer- gets device, prevents reacts
Colonel Cracken– Tala 1 pilot
Lieutenant Blount- Tala 2 pilot
Sergeant Junkin- adds to Epic Event draws
Cpl Delevar- anti forfeit reducer
Thanks for reading, and hopefully reviewing!
EDIT
Thanks for the review, Cam!
I can't believe I forgot Delevar. I swear he was in my initial list. I added him and took away a First Aid. As for the the weapons, I had that in there, but they ultimately became a casualty. I think as I emperiement with this decktype, I will know what way is better to go with it- am emphasis on scrub scouts, or an emphasis on on better scouts and weapons.
Thanks for the review, DE!
Yeah, I know scouts have a low defense value. There are lots of little things I am attempting to do to deal with that, but the bottom line is that RST is not tourney competitive, for the reasons you mentioned. I'm trying to do the best I can with it as the deck works now- I'm sure in the future RST will get some helpers.
