Strategy

On your first turn you play all sites you have in hand, use the objective to pull out a gunner, play it to one of the sites, and play as many people to the docking bay as you can over the next few turns to keep them from infiltrating the Death Star. Try to deploy R3-T6 to the reactor core as soon as possible. Also try to play Tarkin to the Death Star to keep spies out. On the second turn, send the gunner to the used pile to pull the superlaser and pull a second gunner out and deploy it. On the third turn, pull another gunner, play it, and move towards Alderaan. If you have R3-T6 at the reactor core, you will be there that turn. When you get there, move a leader to conference room if possible, use A Million Voices Crying Out to pull Commence Primary Ignition (During control phase) and use it to blow away Alderaan. It should be real easy, even if you draw a 0. If you don’t make it, try again next turn. Meanwhile you should be deploying systems, stardestoyers, and pilots if possible. You will want to control a few battleground systems for later on. Use Mob Points to pull the correct system if you get Kuat Drive Yards or Rendili Star Drive and play both. After Alderaan is blown away, flip the objective, pull a battleground system each turn, and try to spread out and drain at those systems. Use Fear Will Keep them in Line to add to their force loss at these locations. Use Chiraneau to also add to these force drains. Move the Death Star towards Hoth or Yavin 4 (especially if your opponent has a base on one) and try to blow them up if you can. Try to get A Day Long Remembered on one of these planets before you blow them up because it will make it very hard for your opponent to deploy anything substantial. You will get an average force drain and direct damage of 6 at each battleground system if all cards that enhance them are out. From this point it shouldn’t take very long to run their cards out.
