Translation of Japanese Text
Title: R4-M9 (Arfour-Emmnine).
Card text: Deploy on any vehicle (except a creature vehicle). Add 1 to that vehicle's power, maneuver and landspeed. Even without personnel, this droid can remain aboard alone and drive the vehicle. It has no capability as an astromech droid.
Lore: A typical multipurpose droid. Operates/repairs vehicles and computers. R4-M9 is the droid the Empire used to extract information from Tantive IV's computer banks.
Comparison with the English printing: The Japanese says there need not be personnel aboard; the English says the droid may drive by itself without presence. Both give +1 power, maneuver and landspeed to a non-creature vehicle and deny astromech capability. The Japanese lore omits the English word once.[3]
Notes
Droids have no ability.[1] The 2023 Advanced Rulebook treats a droid's ability as an unmodifiable zero when a card compares against ability.[4]
