Monica Jones was Marketing Director of Decipher's Specialty Products Group and led the marketing of the Jedi Knights Trading Card Game (2001).[1][2] By November 2001 she was Decipher's vice-president of marketing.[3]

FreedomCon statement
On 9 November 2001 Jones wrote Decipher's public statement on FreedomCon. Decipher would not recognize the event as the World Championships. It could be sanctioned through the tournament program if requirements were met. The 2001 World Championships had been cancelled with DecipherCon.[3] The Star Wars CCG event is counted as the 2001 Decipher World Championship.
