•Mara Jade & •Corran Horn & •Talon Karrde is a 5×7 Light Character promotional card made by Decipher in 2001. It shows Mara Jade, Corran Horn, and Talon Karrde together in a single photograph. It was given to customers who spent $20 or more at the Decipher store at conventions.[1][2] Unlike the other oversized cards it has no regular-size counterpart: the Collecting Encyclopedia describes it as a "5” x 7” card, not available as a standard sized card."[2]
Card Text[edit]
The game-text box is blank. Decipher's announcement listed it as "No Game Text (you'll need room for autographs!)"[3]
Lore[edit]
Each driven by a dubious past, these scoundrels now plan for the greater good of the New Republic. Found in the strangest places.
Notes[edit]
- Stats. Destiny 3, Power 8, Ability 5, Deploy 8, Forfeit 9, with Pilot and Warrior icons and Force-Sensitive on the printed card. Radio Free Decipher gave the same numbers in its announcement.[3]
- Announcement. Radio Free Decipher (22 June 2001), reported the next day by Yarua on TheForce.net, said Decipher would make the card available at its summer 2001 convention appearances (Origins, San Diego, GenCon, Wizard World, and DragonCon) so fans could get autographs from Shannon Baksa (Mara Jade), Michael A. Stackpole (Corran Horn), and Timothy Zahn (Talon Karrde). It listed the card as "Corran Horn & Mara Jade & Talon Karrde".[3]
- Photography. The three had been shot together when Decipher photographed the individual Reflections II: Expanding the Galaxy cards, including the Corran Horn and Talon Karrde premiums.[3] The Mara Jade side of the shoot is covered at Mara Jade: Flesh and Blood.
- Back. Rebel Alliance symbol, decipher.com, and starwars.com.[4]
- Catalog. The Star Wars Collectors Archive lists it as item 11260, "CCG, Show Premium, 5x7", year 2001, licensee Decipher.[5]
