If a pilot was just lost from a system or sector, deploy on that location and stack pilot here. Pilot may be rescued or captured by any capital starship present here during any move phase, and may be targeted by weapons (except during battle) as if present (treat as a starfighter with defense value = 0). Lost if no pilot here.
Lore
Congratulations on purchasing the TIE/ln starfighter by Sienar. Equipped with a jettison device and distress beacon, it should provide you with years of worry-free subjugation.
Rulings
- A character stacked on this Effect is inactive.[1]
- Dark can capture an opponent's pilot or rescue their own pilot. Light can only rescue their own pilot (Light can never capture).
- When a capital starship rescues a character stacked on this card, the rescued character is placed aboard that starship (capacity permitting). If there is insufficient capacity, the rescuing action cannot be initiated by that starship.
- When a Dark capital starship captures a Light character stacked on this card, Dark may either choose to 'seize' the character (if an escort aboard is available and capacity permits) or Dark may choose 'escape' (character goes to Light's Used Pile). Thus Dark may initiate a capture even with no escort or capacity available.
- The character can be targeted by weapons as if a starfighter, but not during battle (the character does not participate in battles). The player will need a card that allows them to fire a weapon outside of battle, such as Sorry About The Mess, Stay Sharp!, Sniper, Scythe 1, etc.
