Strategy[edit]
I was having a bit of fun building a DS Senate deck, basing the main damage source off of two big drains (Naboo and Cantina), and a medium-sized drain at the Senate itself. With Presence Of The Force on Naboo and the Senate, and Expand The Empire on Desert Landing Site, I was looking at doing some pretty nasty damage...
So I got to thinking... what would be the best LS alternative to that kind of Senate deck? I automatically thought of the big drain at the Battle Plains with Steady, Steady... but what would be a good space element? Kessel, of course!
The deck has plenty of damage potential, but the large number of characters is kind of ticking me off... I need the Senate base, the pilot base, and the Gungan base... and then I need some backup cards (Quiggy, Corran), and Yoda to help pull out the system (pull Control combo, Tunnel for Kessel). I'm thinking I might pull the Gungan Generals and throw in a Bacta Tank so that I can pop/pull Jar Jar and Tarpals at will.
So, the main idea behind the deck is to get some massive damage going... you'll be draining for four at the Battle Plains, four at Kessel, one at the Senate, causing two direct damage a turn from Mas Ameda, and retrieving with RON and Yarua.
Some card choices:
Bad Feeling - by the way, this is the light side Bad Feeling card from Dagobah. Basically, this is in here to counter the biggest (un)known Gungan killer; Presence of the Force. Basically, dark side can drop a PotF on the Boss' Chambers, drop a droid beatdown squad, and kick some butt... especially when one of those droids is IG-88 with his Neural Inhibitor to capture the Boss himself, leaving poor Rep Been alone. So, I can just Bad Feeling the PotF to my Battle Plains or to Kessel or wherever.
Enjoy!
