Demotion is a Light Effect from Premiere (Japanese).
Title
降格
Card Text
Lore
Translation of Japanese Text
Title: Demotion.
Card text: Use 2 Force to deploy on an Imperial, except Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, or Stormtrooper. That card's power is reduced by 2, and it can no longer use its card rules.
Lore: In the Imperial military, punishment for failure is extremely severe. Most officers would rather be demoted than receive punishment from Darth Vader.
Comparison with the English printing: The Japanese calls the disabled text “card rules,” where the English says “game text.” Its lore says most officers prefer demotion, compared with “Many officers” in the English printing.[1][2]
