If present with a Scomp link when Never Tell Me The Odds just reached the top of your Reserve Deck, may 'shield' (add 3 to destiny number of) one of your characters at each location for remainder of turn.

Navy Trooper Vesden Not only another character for your ISB deck, but insert protection to boot. Basically works such that if Vesden is at a Scomp Link when the opponents Never Tell Me The Odds comes to the top of your reserve Deck, you can add 3 to the destiny value of one of your characters at every location.
For example, if you have Vader and Tarkin at one site, Ozzel and a Biker Scout Trooper at another, and another Biker Scout Trooper at a Scomp Link location, then the destiny value of your three lowest destiny characters is a terrible 0+1+1 = 2. Compare that to your opponents 3 droids and you look like losing a fair few Force!
Add Vesden to support that lonely Biker Scout Trooper and your lowest three now total 1+3+3 = 7! That's 5 Force saved. Pack a Torture or two and you'll have those insert decks on the run.
Rulings
- Vesden may respond to Never Tell Me The Odds only once (not a separate response for each location).[2]
- If Vesden responds, Dark chooses one of their characters at every location to 'shield'. Ignore any locations where Dark has no characters.
