This deck is pretty much by the book as far as QMC goes, but I’ve added some of my own ideas to the basic deck. For those who don’t know, QMC is good for force draining and completely avoiding the opponent in battles, while still canceling your opponent’s force drains. It utilizes cards such as Dodge and Path of Least Resistance to move away from battles, and uses the objective to pull out more locations. The modifications I made to this deck are the addition of the Arconas and the Lift Tubes. Arconas are really great because they have a built in ‘Dodge’, perfect for this deck. Although they don’t react away for free as the interrupt, they can move away from a battle after the opponent initiates it without an extra card required. My Lift Tubes allow me to react with multiple characters just in case they get clumped together at a location. I can use Lift Tube Escape to react away from a battle at an interior cloud city site, as many as three sites away from the location where the battle was initiated. I use Pucumir Thyrss to boost my force drains at cloud city sites (I need more copies of him) and let my Grans retrieve force when the opponent initiates battles. If for some reason I decide I want a confrontation, I can use Sergeant Edian, Lobot, Lando, and Obi-wan w/ saber as an effective battle group. Kal Fal’nl C’ndros is good for mobility, having essentially a private lift tube, and has the good text regarding the opponent’s battle destinies. Luke and his X-wing are good at Bespin for retrieving force and for making the opponent’s characters deploy +1 at cloud city. Ten Numb, Spiral, and General Calrissian in Gold Squadron One are good support. I can load the Intruder Missles on Blue 5 and blow away capital ships. Off The Edge is good general force retrieval.
Changes I would like to make in this deck include the addition of Alter and/or Sense, another Pucumir Thyrss or two, and better sacrificial characters. Any ideas that people have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
