Strategy[edit]
first, let me explain the deck title, since i'm sure most of you are wondering about that. this is my friend tim's deck. he wanted me to post it here since he isn't a member yet. anyhoo, he typed up a rough draft decklist and saved it. instead of naming the document, he just left the default filename, which happened to be 'new text document'. we both thought it was quite humorous, and decided to use it as the actual deck title for lack of anything better. i know, it's sad and pathetic, but what are you going to do about it?
i'd think since the deck has been around for 4 years now, people would know how to play just about any variation of hunt down, but for some reason people still insist on filling up this strategy section with random drivel. here's my contrubution to that little tradition. we all know hunt down is fun. but what makes it more fun is turning vader from a deuling fool to part of a demolition crew. with blizzard 4, it's like there are actually 7 vaders in the deck (being able to get him from reserve deck is pretty smooth). and hey, you can't argue with a free vader from reserve deck. believe it or not, i just beat down on random characters more than i duel. it's just so easy. for 10 force, i get blizzard 4, vader for free, and broken fett (aka boba fett, bounty hunter). that equates to 21 power and 3 battle destiny. get an i have you now from reserve deck with crush, and you can add another destiny or two (why duel luke when you can stomp him and cause a ton of overflow battle damage?). what else can i say? this deck is pretty much self explainatory. here's some more random drivel, if you haven't had enough already:
destiny layout:
0s=4
1s=15
2s=4
3s=5
4s=6
5s=5
6s=7
7s=3
card choices:
darth vader - drawing high destiny is good. why not make it higher?
the phantom menace - if you didn't notice, maul with saber doesn't have any immunity, and he can get hit by a lightsaber pretty easily. not only does this card give him complete immunity when he's up against random jedi, but he gets a +2 boost to his defense value. add the fact that this is a destiny 7 card floating in your deck, and it's a no-brainer.
evader & monnok - pull it with crush, put it back with janus to draw a card. rinse and repeat. or kill those nasty revolutions that seem to be making their way back into circulation.
put all sections on alert - destiny 6. helps you walk all over random rebels that might come to mess with vader at the death star docking bay. or if corran horn goes to the executor to cancel visage, you can smack him down with someone without any repercussions.
last but not least, let me explain the lack of ships in the deck. THEY'RE NOT NEEDED! around here (lame ass utah), space presence is a rare sight. a solid ground crew will mean the difference between winning and losing, and if you can hit them when they're vulnerable you can win easily. well that's it. please provide constructed criticism as seen fit.
