Card Text
Deploy on a captured starship. Your characters on your Star Destroyer (or in Docking Bay 327) may battle opponent's characters on captured starship, as if at a site. If your characters are eliminated, starship escapes.
Lore
Stormtroopers blasted through the main airlock of the Tantive IV. The Rebel soldiers’ attempt to defend the intrusion was no match for the Empire’s superior firepower.
Notes
- Decipher Glossary Version 2.0 Errata. Side-by-side faces: Errata.
Reviews
- Jeff Hansen, "Besieged", Neglected Card Series, Corellian Engineering Corporation (2000). Hansen notes it lets characters present with a captured starship battle those trapped aboard, making it possible to steal starships with crews. "extremely powerful when you can mercilessly spank a lone pilot."[1]
Rulings
- Besieged is canceled if Dark steals the starship.[2]
- The starship being a stolen starship currently owned by Light, does not cause Besieged to be canceled.

The 2023 Advanced Rulebook, p. 163, explains that Besieged goes to Dark's Lost Pile when Dark steals the captured starship, while it remains attached when the released starship launches. This is later rules evidence, not a transcription of the original printed face. Historical limitation: Decipher's Glossary Version 2.0 (November 1998), p. 25, adds cancellation on escape or theft but also says Besieged remains until the ship leaves table regardless of controller. That conflicting explanation is not resolved by this citation. Preserved data copy: Internet Archive (20 October 2026). Lookup: Scomp: Besieged.
