デス・スターの指揮を任されている帝国宇宙軍司令官。科学技術を過信し、フォースを蔑視する。野心的な帝国軍のリーダー。皇帝の勅命を支持して昇進したが、軍事能力は評価されていない。ベイダーを嫌っている。

Lore: An Imperial Navy commander entrusted with command of the Death Star. He puts excessive faith in technology and despises the Force. An ambitious Imperial leader. He was promoted for supporting the Emperor's decree, but his military ability is not highly regarded. He dislikes Vader.

Comparison with the English printing: The Japanese lore says Motti supported the Emperor's decree, while the English printed lore says he supported the New Order. The Japanese says his military ability is not highly regarded; the English says he was promoted because of his support rather than his military skills.
