Strategy
--Damian's Review--
Well It placed and well I played it Ill try and help with the stragety with john this weekend. As for cannons their are ways to get around that. Some of the political effects help. But if you guys never play senate well you just dont know then. As for epp palpy just drop your epps and senators and your political effects you should be fine. Also the ls has the bacta tank which isnt bad. Also with regards towards the people saying to play the falcon I guess cct isnt the rage around you guys but it is around here. So get off our backs you bunch of fags. I was going to play hobbie and wedge and play ground forces but I like darklighter spin and the ability to kill executor with luke and lando.
--Response to Reviews--
The Emperor (V) is not played. Baron's cannons can be problamatic in theory, but I've never had trouble with them, nor Damian, for some reason.
--End Response--
Going into DPC Atlanta, I had no clue what to play for LS, as it pretty much sucks. One day, I came up with this idea, being able to control one system and drain solidly there, as well as being able to attack and dominate the opponent in space. Additionally, this deck can hold a battleground, with EPPs, Lando, and the +3/-3 effects. Moreover, most people would be surprised to see a LS Senate Space deck, as conventional wisdom says that The Emperor (V) killed LS Senate, in addition to the fact that most LS Senate decks resemble BJ Hunters. Damian played this deck at the Masters Series Event, going 2-1, good enough for 4th place, the best LS can hope for right now.
How to play
Its hard to define the play of this deck into a traditional early, middle, and late game. The entire thing meshes together. Depending on your hand, youll either set up strongly in the Senate or in space. Naboo, like the KtoD counterpart deck, is your key to winning against predominantly ground decks like HD, Watto, and Combat. If your opponent gives you a battleground system with their objective, start Coruscant: Jedi Council Chamber instead. Use Wokling (V) to get the Hovercam when you are ready. Taking over the opponents system is very often the prelude to a win. If your opponent starts to spread thin on the ground after he doesnt see any ground from you, youll hopefully be able to get a beatdown with an EPP and a Lando with your political effects. I wouldnt advise doing this too frequently, however, as you can get screwed if your opponent has some evasion, then comes back with a counter-beatdown. If you feel that the game does not facilitate an easy beatdown, it is often correct to hunker down at the Naboo Docking Bay with both Obi and Qui-Gon. These two can hold the site with your political effects, setting up Battle Plan, Menace Fades, and allowing you to retrieve 1 with Amidala if you put her at the Senate.
Subtleties
This deck, like the KtoD counterpart, is all about subtleties. Dont forget to make your opponent use 1 or lose 1, dont forget to activate 2 when opponent initiates battle, dont forget dont forget dont forget. When this deck reaches an endgame status, Queen Amidala, with 2 Senators in hand, can become incredible. She has forfeit 6, power 2. The +3/-3 effects give you effectively 6. Thats 14 + destiny. More often than not, if you drop Queen to a site without weapons, the site will be cleared and youll lose the Queen to the tank to come back the next turn. Yarua and Luke (V) combined make draining in space always worth it, even if you lose the Naboo Docking Bay. Luke retrieves 1, Yarua retrieves 1, you drain for 4 (with the effect) that is 6 cards each turn. That, the Queen retrieving 1 at the DB, and Flash of Insight will win you the game. The space package is incredibly strong, even though it looks weak. Luke and Wedge are immune Matchups
