Garry won the toss and chose Dark Side - his ISB deck. His starting location is Coruscant and his starting effect is No Bargain.
Steven is playing his Ops deck (starting with Clackdor VII and a farm), with Yarna D'al Gargan as his starting effect.

Highlight 2 (16:56)

Steven got a snowspeeder out real quick and started force draining.

Highlight 3 (16:59)

Garry got Jabba's Palace and the Audience Chamber out, and is now generating a lot of Force.
Garry flipped his objective, controlling two Jabba's Palace locations.

Highlight 4 (17:02)

Steve has expanded his collection of sites at Clackdor VII and keeps drainig there, while Garry tries to outdrain him on Tatooine.
Vader with Lightsaber attacked, but was stopped by It's A Trap.

Highlight 5 (17:03)

Garry's Vader with Lightsaber is currently facing Steven's snowspeeders at the Clackdor VII sites.

Highlight 6 (17:06)

Steven just deployed 6 snowspeeders and one sandspeeder, with Maneuvering Flaps out.
A big battle was once more avoided -- Garry used Unexpected Interruption to get Ellis Helrot, and got Vader out of harm's way.

Highlight 7 (17:08)

Boba Fett and an Outer Rim Scout drew first blood by taking out one of Steven's operatives.

Highlight 8 (17:10)

Both players are generating a lot of Force, and while Garry has control of Tatooine, the two contestants keep maneuvering around each other on Clackdor VII.
Garry just force drained for a total of 7 on Tatooine.

Highlight 9 (17:11)

Garry just successfully Altered away Maneuvering Flaps.

Highlight 10 (17:13)

Garry just initiated battle to intentionally lose Vader -- and thus avoid a huge beat down he knew was coming.
Boba Fett and the Outer Rim Scout remain on Clackdor VII, however.

Highlight 11 (17:16)

Steven deployed Luke with Lightsaber to Cloud City Port Town District, where a lone Outer Rim Scout was waiting.

Steven attacked, but didn't do much damage.

Outer Rim Scouts are making Steven's force drains -1, which slows him down tremendously.

Highlight 14 (17:24)

30 minutes left to the current game.
LS is in bad shape. Steven is deploying operatives to block force drains.

Highlight 15 (17:26)

Steven initiated a battle at the Cantina with a lone operative, against Chall Bekan and Boelo. The battle damage finished Steven, and Garry won the game by 22.
On to game 2...

Game 2

Start of game (17:30)

This is the beginning of game 2, between Garry Carman (playing LS, Hidden Base) and Steven Lewis (playing DS, Hunt Down).

Starting locations: Rendezvous Point for LS and Executor Meditation Chamber and Holotheater for DS.

Starting effects: Rebel Fleet for LS and Security Precautions for DS.

Highlight 1 (17:33)

Garry cancelled Visage almost as soon as it hit the table.
Garry used Grimtaash and had Steven put 5 of his 13 cards into his used pile.

Highlight 2 (17:36)

Garry deployed Falcon, Wedge and a droid at Rendezvous Point (a safe location for him), and took Never Tell Me The Odds in his hands.

Highlight 3 (17:38)

Never Tell Me The Odds came up, but Steven played Torture to cancel it.

Both players are still jocking for position.

Avenger and a couple of pilots just arrived at Kessel.

Highlight 4 (17:44)

An X-wing and a B-wing came down to Tibrin, while the Falcon moved over to Tatooine.
Steven deployed a Dreadnaught and a pilot, but Garry used Rebel Barrier on the latter and reacted with Spiral, winning the battle against DS and wiping away the Dreadnaught.

Highlight 5 (17:48)

Vader and his Lightsaber, along with Blizzard 2, just came down to Endor.
Battle Order is out, so DS just had to pay 6 to force drain for 1 at two different locations.

Highlight 6 (17:50)

Garry deployed an Undercover spy to block Vader's drain.

Highlight 7 (17:55)

Garry lost 3 cards using the game text of Tibrin to get Never Tell Me The Odds out of his lost pile and insert it in Steven's deck. Steven immediately cancelled it with Torture.

Highlight 8 (17:57)

DS is currently sitting at Kessel and the Endor site, while LS is spread out at three different systems.

Highlight 9 (17:59)

Garry just avoided combat by Hyperescaping his lone X-wing away from Bossk in Hound's Tooth.

Highlight 10 (18:02)

Steven deployed a Tempest Walker and a pilot on Cloud City: Downtown Plaza.
The Avenger moved over to Tatooine to face Spiral.

Highlight 11 (18:04)

Momaw Nadon - undercover - was deployed at Cloud City to block the drain.
The Redemption and Han came down to Raithal and took out Bossk in Hound's Tooth.

Highlight 12 (18:07)

Garry spent 7 Force and used Oola's game text to scan Steven's hand. He only got rid of Vader (a copy of which is already on the table).
But he saw two Tortures there, so he played Grimtaash lost to get rid of them both.

Highlight 13 (18:08)

Only 20 minutes left in the game.

Highlight 14 (18:11)

Garry deployed Haven and battled, wiping out one of Steven's ships.

Steven deployed his retrieved Visage Of The Emperor.

The Executor showed up, shredding the Redemption to pieces.

Highlight 15 (18:15)

Garry got rid of Visage again, and inserted Never Tell Me The Odds into Steven's deck.

Highlight 16 (18:17)

While Steven flipped his Hunt Down And Destroy The Jedi a few turns ago, Garry just flipped his Hidden Base.

Highlight 17 (18:19)

Never Tell Me The Odds came up, and Steven took 8 damage.

Highlight 18 (18:22)

10 minutes left.

Steven is moving to move Garry's force drains.

Steven finally probed Garry's Hidden Base (Kessel).

Highlight 19 (18:27)

Because of Security Precautions, Garry had to lose 8 Force when Steven probed his Hidden Base -- plus, Steven got back all of his probe cards.

With the help of Lateral Damage, Executor takes out the Falcon, and Steven wins the game by 3.
But Garry took game 1 by 22, and so Garry Carman becomes 1999's Star Wars CCG World Champion!

Congratulations to both players.
