Warren Holland
Warren Holland is the founder of Decipher, Inc. and is credited on Wikipedia's Star Wars Customizable Card Game (SWCCG) article as one of the game's designers.[1][2]
This page is a fan encyclopedia stub focused on SWCCG-related, sourced roles. It does not invent unpublished agreements.
Decipher founder / executive
Wikipedia identifies Holland as founder of Decipher (1983, Norfolk, Virginia area) and a key executive alongside Cindy Thornburg.[1] Decipher published SWCCG from December 1995 through 2001 after earlier success with Star Trek: The Next Generation CCG.[1][2]
SWCCG designer credit (read carefully)
Wikipedia's SWCCG infobox lists designers Tom Braunlich, Rollie Tesh, Warren Holland, and Jerry Darcy.[2] Narrative histories emphasize that Braunlich and Tesh approached Decipher in 1993 with the licensed-CCG concept and designed the early Decipher CCGs, while Holland led the company that acquired licenses and published them.[1][3]
This wiki therefore:
- Includes Holland on Creators of SWCCG because Wikipedia's designer credit line names him.
- Labels the day-to-day design vs. publisher/executive split as only partly resolved in secondary sources (see Gaps).
The Ringer's 2018 feature interviews Holland about losing the Lucasfilm license and forming a player-advocate structure; treat that article as secondary journalism, not a primary Decipher credit sheet.[4]
Players' Committee announcement
In January 2002, Decipher CEO Warren Holland announced formation of a Players' Committee / player-advocate structure so fans could continue organized play and virtual support after the license ended.[2][5] Details of that handoff belong on the history page; do not invent terms of unpublished private agreements here.

- Primary Premiere packaging credit line naming Holland as "designer" not yet transcribed here.
- Relative design labor vs. Braunlich/Tesh/Darcy remains ambiguous in secondary narratives.

- Corporate/financial controversies involving Decipher after the SWCCG era are out of scope unless needed to cite a SWCCG fact.
