A GEMP importable decklist is a UTF-8 XML file saved as .txt. The GEMP deck builder Import control reads that file. The filename minus .txt becomes the saved deck name.

File shape

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<deck>
    <card blueprintId="1_172" horizontal="false" title="Luke Skywalker"/>
    <card blueprintId="1_127" horizontal="true" title="Yavin 4: Massassi Throne Room"/>
</deck>
  • One <card> per copy (3× Luke is three lines).
  • blueprintId is the GEMP set_card id (1_172). Prefer the printing whose set is in the format pool.
  • title is the GEMP printed title (no uniqueness bullets).
  • horizontal="true" only for sites. Systems (Death Star, Ralltiir), characters, starships, effects, interrupts, objectives, and shields are false.
  • Shared Light/Dark titles (Alter, Sense, Control, Undercover) use the blueprint for that deck's side.
  • Optional cardOutsideDeck="true" for defensive shields and other outside-deck cards. 1996 Premiere - A New Hope lists have none.

Championship deck pages put the file in Deck info as a Download link (spaces in the Media: filename, no underscores):

* '''GEMP Importable deck:''' [[Media:PANH TRM Sorgjerd LS 1996 Worlds.txt |Download]]

Copy the XML into a .txt whose name is the deck name if you are not using that Download link, then Import.

Suggested name

Space-separated tokens, ASCII, no quotes and no slash. Include side on event pairs (same player, Light and Dark). A one-sided personal list may omit side.

{Format} {Archetype} {Player} {LS|DS} {Year} {Event}

Worked examples:

  • PANH TRM Sorgjerd LS 1996 Worlds
  • PDS2 ROps dillen 2026 RetroGempc

Drop Event first, then Year, if the name is too long. Keep Format, Archetype, Player, and Side (when used).

The Players Committee GEMP UI stores imported names in 3–40 characters. Filenames meant for that table must fit. play.swccg.com can raise that cap later; wiki files still target 40 so they import on both tables.
