Giving the Dark Side two Force icons for Force generation, and one Force Icon for Force draining, this location may look average at first glance. However, if you consider the "Dejarik Rules" for a moment (look in the ANH Rules for a complete description), you will see the true power of this location . . .

Only dejarik and hologram cards can exist at a holosite. Since there are so few of them in the Star Wars CCG card set, you're pretty safe from being battled at the Imperial Holotable.

Holosites allow dejariks and holograms to deploy and battle there as if they were characters. However, they are not characters and are not targetable as characters, interrupts or effects . . . they are dejariks and holograms! So you're completely safe from cards like Surprise Assault.

When you deploy a dejarik or hologram card to a holosite, use its destiny number as its deploy, forfeit, power and ability numbers. Battles at holosites are similar to battles at other sites (including destiny draws and attrition if you have 4 or more ability present). So Visage Of The Emperor (destiny = power = ability = 7) and Image Of The Dark Lord (destiny = power = ability = 6) are extremely powerful holograms to be reckoned with at the Imperial Holotable - the Light Side doesn't have any dejariks or holograms that can compete with these cards on a one-to-one basis!

I like to start with the Imperial Holotable, and pack two Visage Of The Emperor, two Image Of The Dark Lord, and two Monnok cards in my deck. This number of dejariks and holograms assures me a card that I can deploy to the Imperial Holotable on my first couple of turns, and gives me a nice, steady (and safe!) Force drain throughout the game.

Additionally, who couldn't use a few destiny 6 and 7 cards in their decks? Believe me, when you draw those as battle destiny, you'll thank me!

Simply put, the Imperial Holotable is one of the best Dark Side locations in the game.

Combos:

Imperial Holotable + HoloNet Transmission = Used, this interrupt cancels Transmission Terminated. Lost, HoloNet Transmission allows the player to search their Used Pile and retrieve Visage Of The Emperor.
