Scott Lingrell (GEMP advocate; also crngwell) is the current Lead Advocate (Head Advocate) of the Players Committee. The PC is an organization of Advocates; his GEMP handle is that same word, advocate. On the ~August 2005 swccgpc.com Advocate Council page he is listed as Card Design Advocate. Later public PC organization charts list him as Lead Advocate with handle advocate.[1][2][3]

He also goes by crngwell. SWCCG videos are on YouTube at @crngwell.[4]

This page is a fan encyclopedia stub. It does not invent biography beyond the cited roster lines.

Handles

  • advocate — GEMP handle. Same string as the PC forum / organization-chart handle. He is the current Head / Lead Advocate.[2][3]
  • crngwell (written CRingwell on the ~August 2008 Advocate Council list) — additional handle; YouTube channel @crngwell.[4][5]

Documented PC roles

  • ~August 2005: Card Design Advocate on council.htm.[1]
  • Org chart 2021 (PDF CreationDate 8 July 2021; IA 5 October 2021): Lead Advocate; handle advocate.[2]
  • Org chart 2024 (PDF CreationDate 6 May 2024): Lead Advocate; handle advocate (still listed).[3]

The ~October 2014 starwarsccg.org About "Current Advocates" block labels the Lead slot only Advocate (placeholder) without printing this legal name; the org-chart identity above is a later, separately dated source.[6][2][3]

He finished #34 at both the 2026 Retro GEMP Match Play Championship (Premiere to DSII) and the 2026 Tenth Annual GEMPC (lost Round of 64; Challonge seed 31).
