Senator from the planet Roona. One of the first to support Amidala's motion for a vote of no confidence in Supreme Chancellor Valorum. Intolerant of other species.

Strategy

This ambitious senator strives to keep himself on top while denying power to those who truly have it by limiting the opponent's destiny drawing to 1, which hinders the Light Side tremendously. The ability to draw multiple destinies on the ground has always been a huge advantage for the Light Side and until now was only slightly hampered by Battle Deployment and Imperial Command. With Edcel, the Dark Side can once again stand up to the mighty forces of the Rebellion. By limiting destiny, Edcel forces the opponent to rely purely on their tracking ability or hope for a lucky draw to rid them of the Dark Side. Low forfeit characters such as bounty hunters and destroyer droids will find comfort with Edcel, as he makes sure the light Side won't be able to kill them all off with multiple draws. Overall with a politics of 2, Edcel is a powerful senator who deserves a spot in any senatorial deck for the establishment of ground control.
