Strategy

By James A. Van Fleet, RED 15[1]

The game text is short and sweet. Fire a blaster, or artillery weapon, or a starship cannon, or Proton Torpedoes, or *any* weapon (except a lightsaber) and the Light Side gets an extra battle destiny. Doesn't matter if you can't hit the side of a barn, that extra destiny is going to hurt. Slight Weapons Malfunction is a Used Interrupt, with its own destiny of 4. The best part is a destiny adder card that does not require the presence of Luke, Leia, Han, Ben, and Chewie . . . just any warrior or pilot with a trigger finger or other suitable digit.

Combos:

starfighter or vehicle + Rapid Fire + Slight Weapons Malfunction. Set up a neat trap with a lonely decoy X-Wing or Speeder. Rapid Fire to deploy a weapon for free from hand OR Reserve, then SWM to finish off with an unexpected battle destiny.
