Team 5
Team 5 (also written Team Five) is a modern Star Wars CCG playtest team. Players Committee wraps and Holotheatre interviews name Hayes Hunter, Joe Olson, and Phil Aasen as members. In 2021 Hayes also named Kyle Krueger and Cal Aldred in the same teammate sentence.[1][2][3]
Olson (GEMP arebelspy) posted the standing roster in Star Wars CCG Slack #swccgdiscussion: active members who had played an event in the previous year were himself, Eric Hunter, Hayes, Kyle, Cal (caldred), Phil, Ziemowit Skwara (Kryptofis), Matthew Harrison-Trainor (MHT), and Justin Branch (Silverglen); inactive were JM, Stephen Cellucci, and Ross Littauer.[4] He later added that Team 5 had someone in Poland, Ziemowit / Kryptofis.[5] The Players Committee's 2021 OCS wrap prints Silverglen as Justin Branch and MHT as Matthew Harrison-Trainor.[6] Kryptofis is the Username on Skwara's 2012 World Championship Xerox sheets.

At the 2021 U.S. Nationals in Denver, Olson won the title. Hayes finished second, conceding the final to teammate Olson.[1]
Hayes told Holotheatre after the 2023 U.S. Nationals that Team 5 had three in the Top 8 and almost four, and that New Allies also had three, with a first-round team-kill (Hayes vs Joe; Sam vs Charlie).[7]
At the 2023 World Championship Hayes defeated Casey Anis in the final. The quarterfinals included Hayes vs Joe (team-kill).[8]
Later PC wraps that print the team name:
- 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix — "Team 5 member Joe Olson"
- 2026 Boston Winter Classic — "Team 5 member Phil"
- 2026 San Diego Super Open — "Team 5 member Joe"
- 2026 U.S. Nationals — "Team 5 member Hayes"; Olson and Aasen also Top 8[9]
