- note* Big props need to go to someone that helped build the original version of this deck. It's been over a year, so I cannot completely remember who it was. My appologies. This update has some tweaks of my own to account for local playing trends and my own sense of fun.
This is a fun Profit deck. Can compete somewhat, but is more about having fun. First thing: there is NO space in this deck. None. I didn't want to waste 4 slots on the Rebel Leader Pack and 2 Landing Claws. Also, I have not put any defensive shields in this deck. Honestly, I don't like the selection for the LS, so I just pack the protection that I think I'll need (namely inserts).
Beginning Strat: Take a look at what your opponent is playing. If you do not expect to see Vader, then swap Your Insight for The Camp. Early on, you are going to go fetching for a number of things. First grab Advantage from the deck via Don't Do That Again. Next, if you're reasonably sure that your opponent is not playing inserts, ditch Your Insight for an effect that you think you'll need. I often grab I Feel the Conflict first. It's good to throw that down first turn and pick up the rest. When there's about 10 in the lost pile, feel free to free Han and retrieve 10. I use this version of Han for this reason. Also it gives me a chance to change any destiny in a battle (even weapon destiny, fallen portal, etc).
Midgame: Win some battles, and if it looks like Vader will be seeing play, try to turn him via Anakin Skywalker. Twilight Is Upon Me helps pull that and The Force Is Strong With This One, plus gives you a chance to cancel You Are Beaten. Once Han is freed, set up 2 or 3 drains with your mains spread out, supported by EP1 mains and non-mains.
Card Selection:
Twix sites: 2 for you, none for them.
Naked Threepio: additional card circulation, stack some high destinies (plenty of them in this deck) and can be pulled via Were You Looking For Me?
Sai'torr Kal Fas [VC] – This card will set up your Jedi very quickly on Tatooine. There are two of each Jedi, plus two extra Lukes. Also, Anakin's Stick can deploy on Luke or Leia from the reserve deck. Always a bonus to have the versatility.
I Feel The Conflict - Win a battle, make them lose a Force that they cannot retrieve.
