Richard Marquand (22 September 1937 – 4 September 1987) was a Welsh film and television director, best known for directing Return of the Jedi (1983). He has a cameo in that film as "Maj. Marquand".[1]
The Endor card Major Marquand has the lore "Directed a counterattack against the Ewoks on Endor." The line refers to Marquand, who directed Return of the Jedi and appears in it as an AT-ST driver.[2]
